Gameplay FAQ
Common questions about playing Voidling Bound
How do I evolve my voidling?
Reach the required level, collect mutagens from expeditions, and choose a mutation branch at the Splicing Station. Each species has two branches.
What is the best starter voidling?
Kwipeck is the most balanced and beginner-friendly. Gilick offers aggressive close-range combat. Kerapin is the safest with shield defense.
How do I get more voidlings?
The first 3 are starter choices. The remaining 6 are unlocked through expeditions on Vireo, Solum, and Aulis.
How does element damage work?
Each element is strong against specific enemy factions. Matching element to expedition grants bonus damage. Status effects (Burn, Poison, etc.) deal percentage-based damage.
Can I change my voidling's element?
Yes. Evolve along a different mutation branch, or use Elemental Genes at the Splicing Station to dual-wield elements.
How do I unlock the Abyss?
Progress through the main story across all three planets. The Abyss unlocks as endgame content.
What carries over in New Game+?
Voidling Bound does not have traditional NG+. You can replay expeditions and Abyss runs with your existing collection.
How does difficulty scaling work?
Expeditions have selectable difficulty. Higher difficulty = better mutagen and egg drop rates. Abyss scales infinitely.
Can I respec my attributes?
Yes. Reallocate attribute points at the Splicing Station.
How do I get Golden Eggs?
Rare spawn on Solum — Golden Fields expedition. Silver Eggs are more common from elite enemies on any expedition.
