Research Points are used to upgrade voidling abilities and unlock Mutated Perks. Every voidling's abilities can be enhanced through the research system, and some of the most powerful perks in the game require significant research investment.

## How to Earn Research Points

1. Complete expeditions (primary source)
2. Defeat bosses (bonus points)
3. Abyss runs (highest per-minute rate)
4. First-time mission completions (one-time bonuses)

## Best Farming Methods

### Abyss Runs (Best Endgame)
Abyss provides the highest Research Points per minute for prepared players. Each level clear awards points, with bonuses at milestone levels.

### Aulis — Dimensional Rift
The best expedition for Research Points outside of Abyss. Tougher enemies but better rewards.

### Vireo — Tech Ruins (Early Game)
Good early-game source. Cyber-focused expedition with GenBot enemies that drop bonus research data.

## What to Prioritize

1. Upgrade your main voidling's Ultimate ability first (biggest impact)
2. Then Primary ability (most used)
3. Defensive ability for survivability in Abyss
4. Secondary and tertiary abilities last

- Research Points are account-wide — spend them on your main team first
