How voidling customization and equipment works
Voidling Bound does not have traditional equipment (weapons, armor). Instead, customization comes through the DNA Splicing system: gene fragments, body parts, colors, eye genes, and Mutated Perks. Corrupted DNA Catalyzers from the Abyss function as the closest equivalent to endgame gear.
Customization Types
Ability Genes
Modify or enhance abilities. Collected from expeditions and boss drops. Closest equivalent to weapons.
Body Parts
Change physical appearance. May add functional bonuses. Collected from expedition rewards.
Color Genes
Cosmetic customization of skin, eyes, and markings. Purely visual.
Eye Genes
Change eye appearance. May affect vision-related abilities.
Elemental Genes
Allow dual-wielding elements. The most impactful customization choice. Rare.
Mutated Perks
Endgame passives that fundamentally change playstyle. Unlocked at evolution tree endpoints.
Corrupted DNA Catalyzers
Abyss-only stat boosters. Push attributes beyond normal caps. Endgame gear equivalent.
Natures
Stat bonuses (+1/+3/+6) from breeding. Not equipment per se, but a permanent character bonus.
