What Are Mutated Perks?
Mutated Perks are powerful passive abilities unlocked at the end of each evolution tree. They fundamentally change how a voidling plays — transforming a support into a DPS, or adding unique mechanics like chain lightning or life steal.
Perk Categories
Offensive Perks
Increase damage, add elemental effects, or boost ability power. Best for DPS builds.
Examples: Damage Amplifier, Elemental Surge, Critical Strike
Defensive Perks
Increase survivability through shields, healing, or damage reduction.
Examples: Void Heart (+25% stats below 30% HP), Regeneration, Fortitude
Utility Perks
Add movement speed, cooldown reduction, or resource generation.
Examples: Swift (+15% movement), Cooldown Reduction, Stamina Surge
Summoner Perks
Enhance hatchlings, clones, or turrets. Best for Gwigoon, Nimiod, Packuran.
Examples: Clone Mastery, Turret Overcharge, Hatchling Commander
How to Unlock
- 1. Evolve a voidling through its full mutation tree
- 2. Reach the end of the tree to unlock the Mutated Perk slot
- 3. Some perks are Abyss-exclusive drops (Corrupted DNA Catalyzers)
- 4. Equip perks at the Splicing Station
- 5. Perks can be swapped freely — experiment with combinations
